I've been really busy this winter and I have neglected to store my bike for the winter. The weather has been dipping below 32F every night. Is my battery toast?

Just kiss it goodnight man

Most likely, yes, it's toast.
If a battery is left to run down completly in winter temps, the plates will become sulfated and the battery will never hold a charge again.
You can try charging it, but if it was left to rum completly down, it's dead.
Get a trickle charger. They cost like $40-50 bucks and will keep your battery good all winter.

I'm going to try and start it now. I'll report back.

This battery is deead. It cranked slowly and the engine turned but no start. Its currently hooked to my tender which I should have done 2 months ago. Hoping for the best.
Also this battery is so light compared to others I've held. Does that mean its fked?

>photographing right above a dead starter battery while it is charging
>probably even having his face directly over it

Whats all the hubub?

It wont explode on a trickle charger. those put out like 2amps at most
I seriously regret buying my trickle charger. The autists made it sound like it's an absolute MUST for winterizing your bikes but it isn't. I plug it in once every three weeks to top off my batteries which takes like 5 minutes tops. Maybe I just have good batteries or something but they seem like they could hold a charge for months no problem
