What will the future look like with the famous barn finds?
In a hundred years + what will they write in the books about the current trend in the 21centruy about the rare and stunning car in a bard, left behind a tarp for years only to be discovered and brought back to life. Why do we put so much into these cars, as if they had souls, and a life of their own. It is amazing what these cars really mean you know..

>2004 WRX STI original factory World Rally Blue paint and gold wheels. 42,000 miles. First year they were sold in the US. Ran when parked. Sealed up so tight it still smells like Candy Clouds circa 2015. 87,000 dollars. No tire kickers, I know what I've got.
There's your window 50 years into the future OP. You should know by now that nothing ever really changes.
It will be interesting to see how carbon fiber ages in a 100years.
I can some cars will be found, but the sad truth is that I don't think they'll have much value. The current cars that we see as "old" and "valuable" will still be kept and maybe even driven, while our current cars will be seen as appliances like they are seen today
I firmly believe that PT Cruisers will one day be valuable collector's items.

Everyone who wants one already has one.

I agree. Something tells me that both the PT
Cruiser and the HHR will suddenly be desirable in about 20 years.
