tee bee aich my dream car is a v8 swapped restomodded NA
>plenty of power to smoke the tires even with the fattest meats the car will take
>luxury DD during the week, supercar killer track car on the weekends
>interior all sound insulated, padded, covered in wood, metal, and leather trim
basically an FM turnkey except with a super luxury interior
>>16485869
>2011+6
>not simply saying 2bh
>>16485869
No amount of wood and leather will make a Miata a luxury DD. The suspension will still be bone hard in order for it to be a "killer track car", and the wheelbase will still be short as fuck and throw the car over bumps.

at this point i just like to butcher and mutate the words censored by 4chan as much as possible
>>16485875
>the year of our Emperor-President Donald 0
>not using active magnetorheological dampers from GM
I mean, FM v8 swaps already use Alpha platform engines, transmissions, and differentials, what's to keep them from using the suspension? They already use Fox shocks with 5" of travel too.

A Camero isn't a luxury car either.

RB26 GT-Rs. Updating them to rustproof them for years to come, fix a bunch of the issues that the stock engine has with things like the oil pump gear and fragile ceramic turbos, increasing power to ~450 HP, adding variable valve timing to improve response among a whole laundry list of other updates.
Chassis rigidity improvements, modernized lighting by replacing most lights with LEDs, upgrading the R32/R33s with Getrag V160 for durability, replacing all of the analog sensors with digital drop-in compatible ones, remapping the ECU to retain OEM reliability and driveability, custom titanium exhaust that remains JASMA compliant for everyday driveability, modern stereo that has USB/aux/BT while keeping the 90s look, etc.
It would take a lot of work but making the car modern and reliable underneath while retaining the essence and feel would be awesome.
