Need some expertise here:
I bought my 2012 WRX a few years ago from a reputable dealership. The car was pretty close to stock when I bought it and I was assured ot hadn't been modified outside of the injen intake installed.
I've kept it as stock as I bought it, because I want to do everything all at once. Anyway, I've recently been throwing a CEL and my cobb says I'm running rich. I haven't gotten a tune yet, so any issues should be covered by the bumper to bumper I purchased.
However, Subaru recently recalled a few hundred thousand turbocharged vehicles due to secondary air pump failure.
My car has had the symptoms of pump failure for a while now, but I figured it may be a bad tune from the orginal owner parting out modifcatins and returning the car to stock before selling, minus the ECU. Anybody who knows think these things might be related, or do I just have a huge mess on my hands?
TL;DR could secondary air pump failure on a 2012 wrx throw a "running rich" CEL code?
Thanks in advance.

Don't listen to him. The CEL in a Sebarus VRX means you need to add sugar to your engine oil

Yep. I'll be sure to do that to my VRX.
