In 1983 when I was 17 I knew a guy selling a beautifully painted, hot rodded Shelby Mustang for $2500. Fuuuuuck. Bought a gen 2 Mercury Capri instead.

Bone stock FX16 for $600, mechanically sound, interior was great, less than 100k miles... Bought a miata instead, I regret not buying both.

But the Fiero is actually safer than the Firebird. GM went overboard when designing the spaceframe chassis. The only 1980s car safer than the Fiero is the Volvo 700 series.

Less of a missed chance and more of a "bought hours before I could go look at it"

Look for a Fiero Formula, they're a little harder to find and only came in red, yellow, and white I think. I got my formula with a 5 speed. Drives good man

In 2013 I found a 2000 impreza 2.5rs in decent shape for 3400. I couldn't put a deposit down, bit I told the guy I could be there to buy it the next afternoon, and he sold it the next morning.

I still desperately want one of those cars but I never see them for sale anymore.

1989 Chevrolet Caprice 9c1
Immaculately maintained with full service records.

That was at an auction in 1994 and I've had to Crown Vic interceptors, Chevy Tahoe 9c1 and both the 1991 and a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice 9c1 and I still regret not buying that car.

Last i checked, there were only 3 in the US on Craigslist...
I may eventually get to a position where I can just pick up a 4cyl and swap in a 5spd getrag trans as well as the 3.4. I like the v6 though because it is less work and still good enough before the swap.
