Well if you did your research before buying the car, you'd already know that tall people will have difficulties fitting. What you should have done was buy the car anyway and before the drive home, order yourself one of the many available custom seats made for Miatas on the internet.

Or, if money is not your forte, you could have removed the foam from your seat to save about 2-3 inches of height. If you're handy with tools, you could have removed the seat rails and bolted a seat straight into the floor and save 3-6 inches.
