They were basically a rebadged Isuzu Faster. They might be more common in Europe, but most of these things rusted to pieces years ago. The small 70's Datsun, Toyota and Mazda/Ford Courier trucks are pretty similar as well.

This looks more like improper placement of the lifting arms. There's way too much truck hanging out over the end. If the arms were back further about 10"-12" or so, it shouldn't have buckled.
