Why?
Amerifat market.
>>16443804
Because that's the customer base, the 8 speed auto works phenomenally anyway.
>>16443804
The RC F doesn't have a CVT.
>>16443804
its a DCT u troll

>Initially, the RC was available with a choice of three engines; the RC 300h with the 2.5-liter 2AR-FSE inline-four engine mated to a continuously variable transmission, the RC 350 with the 3.5-liter 2GR-FSE V6, and the RC F with 5.0-liter 2UR-GSE V8. The RC 200t, featuring a 2.0-liter 8AR-FTS I4 turbocharged petrol engine, was added to the range in late 2015. All-wheel drive is offered for the RC 300h and RC 350.
Kill yourself, only the RCF gets a DCT.
>>16443825
and the rcf is the only rc relevant for performance pretensions so off thyself.

>thinks its pretty and gives you a constant duckface
It's shit.

They drive well with smooth power delivery and good handling for what they are and what they are trying to achieve. Sound pretty good with the factory exhaust and fantastic with the performance kit too.
>>16443825
In other words you need to intentionally buy the hybrid to get the CVT, in which case all hope is lost anyway because apparently you only want a sporty looking commuter.
>>16444070
still shit. there are better, lighter, and prettier cars in the class.
>>16444080
There are always better cars no matter what you are looking at depending on what your requirements are.
I'm just saying they are super fun to drive, the RCF is spectacular and even the RC350 is surprisingly brisk.
I'm partial to the looks but that may be as much of a Stockholm syndrome scenario as anything. Though I don't like the LC500 at all visually (other than the tail lights) but holy fuck does it drive.
