Great. Pre-facelift models are more bulletproof. Doesn't suffer the depressing rust issues that the W123 wagons do. Have a W201 but sort of wish I had one of these.

I've got an 85 sedan with 2.3 gasoline engine. It's comfortable and easy to drive, but an awful winter car.

Well I should probably say that it is perhaps the most fun winter car you will ever have, but for all practical purposes, it's an awful winter car. It spins and goes wide extremely easily even with fresh, dedicated winter tires. It's also really light in the rear so if you go into some mud, or semi-deep snow, you'll have no grip whatsoever and getting out can be a bit challenging.

It is sex. One of the last, grand euro estates, like the volvo 700/900 series. There's a 4motion version for sale in my area i really lust heavily after.

W124 2.5 turbo diesel estate is perhaps the greatest all around car every made.

I have one it's great
If you take care of it it lasts forever
The mechanical parts are overengineert and basically bulletproof
The electronics on the other hand start do die one after the other once it gets about 20 years old
But its easy to repair by yourself and parts are cheap on the internet (or very expensive at official shops)
I fully recomend it though
