Yeah, as a Twingo owner I would not call them "fuel efficient" sure, it does not break the bank but fuel economy when you go above 130 km/h is shit... something like 9-10 liter for 100 km highway (20-30 mpg for ameritards)
Almost the same as city.
This car is happy at under 100km/h (then you may get 5-6 liters for 100km), above it becaume noisy and thristy

About the other points:

- reliable : yes
- practical: absolutly
- dirt cheap: yup

Other quality:
- strangly fun to drive (subjective)
- visibility and ease of parking

But realy, it is a very lovable car. I mean it. I did not choose to own a twingo, I had the opportunity to get one for free when I got my licence. But I still keep it for, even so I bought a brand new car to replace it as my DD.

I would never get rid of my Twingo.

Don't forget to clear coat the headlights after polishing.

If you don't put a clear coat on them afterwards, they will get dull again in a matter of weeks.
Also, clearcoating makes them look even more clear and shiny of course AND the coat helps against degradation through UV, too.

From personal experience I have found that the advertised efficiency can be done comfortably if you're not trying to race the fuck out of it like I generally do. It's advertised at 17.5 km/L, I've done 19.1 but generally do around 15 because while it can definitely drive like a granny, it's equally happy to rev if you poke it. It's not surprising because small 5-gear cars tend to rev like 4k at highway speeds anyway. They're built to rev all of the time and the 16V has a glorious torque curve for its modest output, judging by my butt-dyno.
