If I'm not mistaken Backup Camera's weren't a factory option on the 03 C classes so either.

1.This has an aftermarket console/radio

2. Someone spliced into the existing console radio wiring/system.

Both of these things are a bad thing and the cost of restoring the console to factory is stupid.

I'd rather have a loaded compact executive car than a base model larger executive car. The inch or two of extra room here and there doesn't warrant missing out on comfort features.
