Wasn't that the whole point of Tesla, and Musk subsidizing it personally? If Tesla now has competitors or better yet, BETTER competitors, I'd say mission accomplished. There was no real market for EVs until now and nissan/GM spent all their time pussyfooting with their EV programs.
