because it's shit.
Its only selling point was nostalgia. The interior was shit. The chassis was shit. The engine was unreliable and overly expensive shit. The only thing going for it were looks that looked very dated within a few years.
For the car to ever appreciate, it has to have something more than looks.
Example: The Lancia Scorpion. BEAUTIFUL car. But they're worth nothing despite low production numbers because they were shit.
A car has to have substance to eventually appreciate in value.

I saw these two sell for over $32k Maple dollars. (over $24k USD). Was shocked when i saw them go for what they did.
