Not sure if i'm allowed to post motorcycle threads here, but it is an automobile.
This Kawasaki Ninja 300 is the bike i have been planning on getting since about June last year. Have 2 jobs, one is seasonal, one is incompetent (i. e. they tell me not to come in too often, my work is contingent upon the weather and it's been off and on lately).
I did the research and this is the most practical bike for beginners, and is better than the CBR-300 by efficiency. Wondering if there are any bike fanatics out there who can tell me any tips for buying my first bike (looked at the motorcycle subreddit, want opinions from 4chaners)

Theres a bike general containment thread... go there
Memetier marketing ruse
gs 500 with a kymco scooter engine cavemen tier bike tech covered in fake plastic fuckery to appear like a big boy bike with a low but still immensely too high of a price. It's a literal marketing ploy for people who take youtube vlogs as gospel.
Get a real bike and limit it if you're that inept or unconfident.
Don't buy a 300. The value proposition is simply not there. Bikes like the Ninja 300, CBR 300, Yamaha R3, and RC390 are all complete memes.
A Ninja 250 for $1,500 will fulfill literally all of your needs. If you're going to be doing extensive highway travel, just get a SV650 instead. No, it's not too much power.
Both of these bikes will retain their value and will be much cheaper to buy.
