as a european GM owner and quite a lot of my friends-Dodge owners (and members of USA car clubs all across of europe) will agree that american cars are better. their SUVs, trucks, pony and muscle cars, sedans, luxury cars, performance cars like cadillac and corvette are amazing compared to yurop eqvivalents. But their shitboxes are horrible compared to european and japanese models. they can't compete with true super cars (yes they have the corvette but its nor really a supercar), also they don't have the real luxury cars like RR or bentley. I really don't care about 100-300k cars or more so that's the reason why my vote goes to americans. Their good cars are just enough upscale just like german cars and I love that and a lot of other reasons I don't have the energy to write down right now. Problem is that people don't give a damn about cars in yurop and a lot of them can't afford them and then you have the bus riders who got all of their knowledge about cars from top gear and USA cars sales are pretty low but steadly raising thankfully. when you've driven both german (other european cars are basicly rubish) and american and you are not biased poor bus rider you will appreciate them a whole lot more

I work at the collision center of a BMW dealership down in southern burgerville, and my opinion is that german cars are built very well (glued together lol) but are fucking expensive for everything and over-complicated as fuck from parts order to labor to detail. American cars on the other hand are built infuriatingly cheap (Fuck modern Chrysler door handles and anything plastic made by FoMoCo), and for that build quality they want way too much for them- but at least every fucking one of them doesn't leak like a sieve.
Mini and Lotus can also fuck right the hell off, those designers can go fucking kill themselves.

The USA makes very, very solid and reasonably priced all purpose reliable cars when you get away from their economy cars, but lack in performance and power when it comes to high dollar stuff.

euro here with ford focus mk1 (eu version), it is really reliable i dont know how are the new cars.
i have comparison with some euro cars, especially newest citroen c4 i drove that one a lot and citroen is uncomparably garbage. c4 has almost same mileage as the ford and is in horrible condition. plastics are rattling and textures are peeling off things like steering wheel. theres tons of cosmetic faults like water in one of the fake rear lights. interior is badly designed, especially hand rest which keeps sliding, it also blocks handbrake, really annoying.
