I like the DIN system because I love cars having standardized Stereo sizes. Makes it easier to find aftermarket replacements. Ever try to replace the stereo in a car before the DIN was standardized?
Ever try to find a replacement 1.5DIN stereo replacement?
It's virtually impossible without going to a specialty manufacturer.

Not easy but not hard. Get a bypass chip for $10 so you don't have to cut the wiring to the parking brake for shit to work. Get some plastic pry tools on amazon for <$10 and look up a disassembly video on youtube and you should be good.

Use the crutchfield part picker and get the right dash piece. I actually have a spare of the manual and auto in gray for the 08-12 accord so if you're lucky and post on /o/ I might be able to reach out to you and just send you it for the cost of shipping.

I have a Clarion double din and like it. I was gonna go single din + the storage slot, but found out the like space is completely useless, especially at the height and angle my stereo sits at.
