This. Start at the bottom, win some races, make connections, and eventually you'll climb the latter until you reach Europe and race in GT3, Rally, F1, etc.

If I were a pro driver, I don't think I would even want to do F1. The celebrity status is nothing like it used to be. Very few drivers actually stay at one team for more than 2-3 years. You could be the best driver on the worst team and you will still lose to Nico Rosberg because you aren't in a Mercedes. The season is long and the travel schedule is ridiculous. And so on...
If you could do Indy car with some fat sponsorship deals and maybe do some LeMans races, that would be great to settle down in for 15yrs.
