Night Wave started in mid January of 2016, a small group of enthusiast from a brazilian jujitsu forum decided to take out their shitboxes and go for a meet. One thing led to another and 9 months later they had a baby, but that's besides the point. Night Wave is meant to be a global sensation, currently holding meets in Houston but the plan is to branch out, expand as much as possible. We have over 30 members and 25 of them are right here in Houston. Our european division is expanding and plans have been made for a summer meet, perhaps somewhere in Germany because what better place to meet.

So if you're still reading this nonsense you may be thinking, well how do I join. Quite simple really, post a picture of your, go to the OP and get on GroupMe for meet details. A meet is happening on the 16th, so we can talk about how shit each other's cars are anyways. Location will be Whataburger ofc, because there is no other place Scotty Kilmer will be more happier to see us in other than a Toyota.

Kamikaze Miyabi costs like $100 a bottle that will cover 2 applications. Add another $50 for their overcoat that covers about 10 applications.
The Gyeon stuff is cheaper I think, but also has more components so might be overall more expensive.
I don't think the cost is bad at all for materials, not sure how much more it would be to have it professionally applied.
Either way, if you still think that semi-permanent coatings are the same thing as wax, you're missing the point entirely.

Yes. You can but it with an applicator kit if you want to do it yourself, but for me personally, I'd rather just have a professional do it that has done it on dozens of cars rather than trying to wing it myself.
To me, it's kind of like trying to do our own tint... sure you can pick up a roll and do it yourself, but it's going to be done much better by people that will guarantee it for life and do thousands of tint jobs a year and have the equipment to do things like use heat guns to shape the tint for curved windows.
Also, it turns out better if you do a paint correction prior to applying it and I definitely don't have the experience to do that properly.

Maintaining with touchups and overcoat so it lasts 2ish years, I would do myself.

No, just someone who's happy to have accomplished something today after struggling with his "weekend" car for 2 weeks.

Pic related, the broken coolant temp sensor (it has the green connector on it) that was preventing the car from starting. Once I put a new one in it fired right up.

Well, admittedly it didn't go out on its own. While prying out the alternator with a screwdriver, my dad nearly broke the old sensor in half. That was plenty enough to ruin it though.
