>there will be a 4 cylinder supercar in your life time
>>16408580
>BMW I8
Also the Espirit was a turbo 4 BITD.
>>16408595
I8 is 3 cylinder
jaguar were going to build one with a 1.6 litre turbocharged cosworth 4 cyl at one point
I think we'll start seeing a lot of mainstream electric super cars before we start seeing turbo 4 cylinders capable of 700-800 HP in production cars. unless you just mean some generic 4 cylinder in a carbon fiber shell in which case yea i guess those count but probably not anything ever in the 500-600 HP range.
What was the original atom? Wasnt it a 4banger?
>>16408611
Even worse.
4 cylinders dominate le mans protoype
>>16408595
It was a V8 not a i4 wtf
>>16408631
I believe it's a 3.0 V8
>>16410413
Wrong. It was a 4-pot of Honda origin, a K20 if I'm not mistaken. Only later on they offered the Atom V8 but the original is a 4 cylinder without a doubt.
Also:
>BAC Mono
>Lotus Elise/Exige
>Caterham CSR
Coupled with what >>16408633 said. 4 cylinders engines can be pretty good desu, just ask the Toyota team that ran IMSA or the guys on the WRC.
>>16410405
Only the last Esprits came with v8's, they came with 4 cylinders from 76 to 96.
>>16408580
>there was several v6 supercars in my lifetime
Seriously just fuck this shit i'd rather they make a electric supercar
>>16408580
>Caring about the specific number of cylinders instead of the actual result
>>16408580
Have you never heard of WRC?
>>16410532
Holy shit this is rad
dunno if this counts
