Sure, too bad its an insanely crammed engine bay, and FWD biased haldex system.

Otherwise its great, I almost, almost bought one. Test drove it like 4 times at different dealerships.
Buy buying a new car meant I would have to live with my parents for at least 2 more years.
Ended up getting a used Civic 01 for $7k back in early 05

mk5 is better.

I like the styling of the mk4 better. Retains some of the boxy DNA of the mk1. The mk5 strays further away from the original look than any other golf. Mk5 doesn't look like ass like the mk3 did though, so thats a plus
