>have to set ignition timing but too lazy to do it the right way
>just spin the CAS while revving the engine, when it sounds more or less right I bolt it down and leave it
>end up driving around on more or less estimated ignition for a few weeks
>finally get around to setting it correctly today
>pull apart half my garage looking for the timing light
>dig it out of god knows where, point it at the timing marks
>it's been set at exactly 15 degrees by ear

yeah I know it's a 30 second procedure but I'm lazy as fuck and didn't feel like looking for my light. post good car / wrenching feels you have had recently, haven't seen this thread in a while

Yeah, I can do chevy v8s like that clocking the dizzy pretty well. Within a degree, I usually err to retarding the timing a hair.

4cyl I'm not quite as good with, but I get damn close most of the time.
