This is a 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition with a manual transmission. I'm looking for a first car and I'm wondering if this is worth it. The mileage feels kind of like a lot, but the low price might match it.
What do you think, /o/?

I hope you enjoy your cooling system breaking down every month and being stranded a lot. Unless the previous owner took care of it like a baby.
>even considering a VAG product out of warranty

I'll take that as a no. I guess I should look for a corolla.

The miles are pretty high. If the chain hasn't went in the cars history, it will on you

avoid it. VAG products are known for reliability problems, especially when out of warranty. If yu want it, go for it, but you've been warned

Look for a 2006-2011 Honda Civic, bonus points for an Si sedan.

Avoid anything VAG.

Don't listen to the bus riding neckbeards. I bought a first generation Touareg with 100k over a year ago and it's been fantastic. Corollas are lame and boring.

Found the bus rider.

The Mexican built small VW's are RIFE with reliability problems and their best selling models.

I'll give you a semi reasonable response. My sister has owned one since new, an 08 auto jetta. She drove it a cross country and back when moving. It still runs well, has about 120k or so. Her husband uses it as a dialy beater now. They maintain it reasonably for normal people.
It does hve issues. Severe water leak in rain, can't find it. Drenches rear floorboard. Transmission slips occasionally. Entire AC system shit and had to be replaced. And I won't lie, it sounds kinda tired when I hear it driving. The electrical is slowly having problems. Things work then don't then work again.
I will never personally own one I those, ever. Much better cars can be had with similar mileage. Honestly, the year means next to nothing. Mileage and maintinance history are the important things to look for. More so the maintinance.
Another example: my moms camry. 09 with only 106k! But she blew the motor at 100k because she maintains the car like shit. So we had to put in a replacement with a few more miles from a wrecked car.
TL;DR : my two cents
