Let's talk about the 4.3 V6 engine from GM, its advantages and disadvantages
could we not?

no we have to

>It's built on a 65 year old block you fuck.
Come back with a modern American V8 you shit face weeb

The spider injectors on them suck ass. My neighbors Astro has over 550k km's with just oil changes.
My Blazer S10 with a 4.3 used to cruise at 180kmh all day with no oil pressure. I hydrolocked it then drove it with sand and mud in the oil. Drove it another 1k+ kms before it stared knocking on heavens door.
The new LV3 seems like a decent engine. 285 hp and 300 ft-lbs is bretty gud. I'm wondering why the new Colorado didn't get that engine instead of the car 3.6.
Disadvantages: Outclassed by near everything in power. Dexcool eats the intake and head gaskets like pretty much every other GM V6. Advanced design = lop a couple cylinders of a tree-fiddy.
Advantages: The junkyards are full of them.

I'm literally in the middle of replacing the intake manifold gaskets right now, on my 4.3 doing valve cover gaskets too, but doing the head gaskets would be too much of a project for me right now
I had a work van with the 4.3L. Full of heavy ass equipment and tools, for a heavy pig, it moves. Eventually got a gmc 2500 with the 6.0L, feels FAST AS FUCK for having the same tools/ equip, but waaaay worse on gas.

Lmao I nearly had to
