How good is the miata to learn on? Is it a meme to learn how to work on cars if I'm just now learning to drive (18)?

There needs to be a separate board for the miata

I agree, this board even needs less car discussion. Who wants to make the new "muh fwd is just as good rwdcucks btfo" or "assmad gm cuck" thread? Maybe start a new daily thread where everybody just blogs

That's an interesting looking lump there on the hood what's under that lump?

They all have that. Underneath is the engine
Buy something reliable to drive unless no choice, then learn to work on something else is preferable, but if you are THOROUGH and ignore anything anyone else your age says or cares about or thinks is cool and fucking focus on learning to be an excellent mechanic I predict happiness, low expenses and freedom.
Never make your main ride a project. That's the route to being a pedestrian. Start with simple maintenance. Don't get any more of your information from this forum which is shitpost central. Become a wizard at automotive internet knowledge searching while systematicall learning to avoid bullshit.
Go to model specific forums for your model specific info. Buy a service manual. Never hurry, and fucking remember for every stuck fastener or other problem MANY other people have figured out the right solution over the century-plus of automobile history.
Want to get good? Read, read, and read more. You'll enjoy it and unlike the bad old days you have the internet. If you can take an auto shop class, do that. It will repay you for the rest of your life in many ways, not just fixing cars. No good mechanic doesn't have more side jobs than they can possibly do if you find you like wrenching.

Thank you! I didn't plan on learning from /o/ and I was just looking for other opinions.
