>>16365069
Concept cars in the earl 2000's were boss. Now you have designs like Lexus and Cadillac with spaceships.
Nissan had a pretty good design for the next z car, desu.
>>16365069

>>16365069

>>16365608
>>16365069
Fun fact. That concept was the template for the Charger sedan. You can thank it.
>>16365696
The charger actually looks good unlike that trainwreck.
>>16365588
>>16365608
ugly
>>16365651
Awesome
>>16365641
Aside from the tombstone grille it looks like Bugatti stole their styling cues from this.
>>16365742
>ugly
how can you not love that fucking start up noise it makes. ITS A FUCKING JET ENGINE EEEEEEEEEE
>>16365742
But the Eb110 was before the GT90. Camilo Pardo, the GT90 designer, likely saw the EB110 and was influenced by it.
>>16365759
I fail to see how a pleasant sound makes it not ugly
Is Susan Boyle pretty because she can sing well?
>>16365766
But the EB110 is boxy, this is round. The Veyron is Also round and looks nothing like the EB110
>>16365773
Did your personality make you handsome?
>>16365784
I don't see how my looks enter into the equation that makes a car ugly
>>16365069
Cant believe no one has mentioned this beast yet
>>16365588
Integra? Is that you?
I wish the modern Charger looked like this instead
>>16365069
That is quite possibly the most hideous piece of shit I've ever seen.
>>16365069
>>16366952
You wish it looked like a Dodge Intrepid with weight gain?
>tfw you will never a corvette with

>>16365069
The original driving bunker?
>>16368360
I'd have taken that over the god-awful 300C. WHY CHRYSLER, WHY
>>16366952
I would rather drive a hako.
>>16369732

>>16369732
Isuzu made some neat concepts
>F1 V12 ute
>tfw no awd NSX from Nissan
Honestly the GTRs seem like a bad compromise when compared to what could have been.
>>16369704
Crossfire with a bodykit
Well its technically not a concept
>no retarded gookshit econoboxes to laugh at
Laughing at the Veloster is fun, but this would've been so much better.
I think it was supposed to be an affordable supercar for americans, I dont remember the details but it's neat looking, and Chrysler doesn't always come out with neat things like this.
>>16370419
Cadillac was spewing out some awesome concepts in the early 2000's as well.
Pic related is probably my favorite concept car
>Connaught Type D GT
>built by the brits, masters of the roadster
>aggressive styling, but not HURR ANGRYFACE like most newer cars
>powered by a screaming 2.0L supercharged V10
>even more power is given from a KERS-style hybrid system
>all this in 2006, long before hybrid supercars were even considered a good idea
>>16367150
>taking a corner at any speed above 30
>rear end swings out, car spins uncontrollably
>>16368360
Styling looks dated, but all the design elements actually work really nicely together. Would buy.
>>16370369
>technically not a concept
What is it and where can I buy one?
>>16370428
and here's another Caddy. Sadly the higher ups get their kicks from stomping on a dream.

>>16370672
>it cost Ford Australia $700 million to develop
>>16370419
>>16370428
Midnight klub 3 was a neat game.
>>16370428
>tfw no cien-based jetcar
>>16370699
Did it fail the spider focus test? It was probably too hard to siphon petrol from
>>16370699
Well the engine upgrades were sweet and the suspension upgrades were on point. If the engine lost coolant it would shut off individual cylinders and vent air through them to cool the block. If it got to a stage it could not control the temp anymore it would shut the engine down. Literally couldnt cook the motors.
If only Detroit hadn't forced them to use the New Edge styling things might have gone better.
>>16368365
This, the Ciel, and the Cien are the 3 best concept cars cadillac ever made.
>>16370717
it really was, just 100% MC2, waiting on my friend to hand me their PS2 so I can get started on MC3

>what the RX8 should have been
>still posts a picture
>>16370757
>literally couldn't cook the motors
Honestly I never even knew they had those overheating prevention features, that's pretty cool.
That said, some customers have made a stellar attempt at warping the heads and blocks of those old I6s.
>>16370826
Looks like a stoned catfish Camaro.
they could have released the single best luxury car in the world as long as they made all of the tech very subtle, geared towards elderly people
>>16365608
How's that door handle even work?
>>16370681
You know nothing of the panel van
>>16365588
sounds absolutely boss starting up I'll admit
>>16365069
>>16365608
I have a theory that in the late 90s to early 2000s because trucks were selling so well, American car companies let the pickup design teams head all other development and shit up the entire range.
>>16373054
Retro Nastalgic was what lead most of the concepts. That concept was mostly playing with the idea of 50's style windows. The rest of the car is the Charger/Magnum platform.
The Prowler, PT Cruiser, Thunderbird, 2005 Mustang, HHR, SSR were all in the name of retro design.
The chrtysler turbine should also be here of course
>>16367373
AN AU FALCON, LOOK AT HER
>>16370757
How about developing an engine that doesn't loose a coolant? Would it be too easy to consider?
What the BMW 2 series Gran Tourer should have been
>tfw no V12 BMW van
>>16375466
>996cc V6 turbo
>>16375476
>Mercedes V8 or Jaguar V12 engine
>240 kph

>almost as long as the current Chevy Suburban
>>16373204
>someone's internet render
At least post an actual Lincoln concept.
>>16375485
Show the left side of it. This one is rammed.
>>16375731
thank you for your contribution to this thread
>>16370348
Well, seeing as thought the Crossfire was based on this concept, I imagine there would indeed be similarities.
>>16375487
Looks like a first gen Infiniti M45 concept.
>>16365069
if you basically pull this car apart style-wise, you get the charger and the magnum
>>16370727
Leno took out degrass tyson not too long ago in the jet car for a blst up a runway, well long story short the drivers window fell out durring the run (not at an impressive speed either)
>>16370499
>are available as camper shells
Got a link for that?
>>16365742
its mostly a jaguar xj220 underneath
and the the styling clue comes from it being longitudinal mid engined
>>16370699
PLEASE be fucking joking?
No wonder Ford AU went bust
>>16366952
Too bad it became a stratus
>>16376510
The source link on wikipedia for it is broken, but I found another source:
"At a total development and investment cost of $700 million, this is the most expensive Falcon ever."
https://www.wheelsmag.com.au/features/ford-falcon/1609/1998-ford-au-falcon-launches
>>16377674
>700mil
>for shit like this
>>16377683
Holy shit, that looks like some kind of godawful stepchild of an AU and a BA.
>>16375466
Oh shit I had totally forgotten about that one! I remember it showcased in the 90's and thinking it was so dam futuristic and amazing. It was a fully working and functional prototype, and I remember it being showcased in a tv program called "beyond 2000" (amazing show back then). Now THAT car was the future. They even showed that it had totally out there sci if level goes navigation! Yes I'm deliberately exaggerating but in the mid nineties, it was mind blowing.
>>16377710
it had the weirdest specs
http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf/story2/38C4CF87BDF0F38BCA256B03001C3500
>factory winch
>50lwater tank
>Side port exhaust
As i said no wonder they went under fucking insane how much money they wasted
by the time they fixed their shit with the BF and FG it was too late
>>16377722
>tripdubs
Also how the fuck did Ford Australia manage to not actually make that damn thing when Holden was able to give us the Adventra?
>>16377768
because the au was an abortion
aubortion
>>16370497
Rapper Birdman owns one, so there's that.
>>16370343
You can see where they got the s15 rear from
>>16375851
>comfy mercedes
>2 door
>it can be a coupe, 4 seat cabriolet, shooting-brake, or a fucking ute, changing from one to the other by switching the panels
I want that so bad, why are they not making shit like that?
>>16365608
[poor build quality and interior rattles intensify]
>>16370428
Im still mad about this car. Crippled gearbox in gt4, only one movie appearance and it was some no name film too.
