How does one go about overhauling their suspension?
I have an older truck, and I can tell that the front independent suspension is trashed. It bounces, squeaks, groans and rides poorly.
I'd like to overhaul it, but I really don't know where to begin. What usually needs replaced on old suspensions?
new shocks and replace all the rubber bits and it should be a lot better

Would that be the bushings I can order?
Thanks btw

wishbone bushes, strut tops, ball joints, roll bar bushes and end links.
hopefully your steering rack is solid mounted

Have you considered a newer vehicle? Fix one thing, another breaks, continue until you're driving a new vehicle anyway.

if he has rack and pinion steering. A lot of trucks don't and use old steering box setups. in which case, I'd look into a rack and pinion conversion.

Why would I do that when I could just fix it? Unless I buy a new car, any other car I get is going to have maintenance items too...
