Similar question... The ZL1 seems to be great value compared to a regular Camaro, in the sense that lets say a 2SS loaded out will be $50kish and a ZL1 will be $63kish lets say.
That $13k difference seems like it would be more than made up for in the upgraded parts. Like I'm thinking just adding a supercharger to a 2SS would bring the cost of it to $58k.
I feel like I'm missing something... perhaps I'm just overestimating how much it would cost to bring a 2SS to a similar performance level

The rumors are 600hp / 2800lbs curb weight. That's not too incredibly unrealistic but the lightest sports car Ford makes is probably the Mustang or Fiesta RS at 3400lbs. They could use a fuckton of carbon fiber but the price is gonna skyrocket and no one is paying that much for a Ford. It's already rumored to be at $400,000+. That's Aventador territory. Exotic V12 or V6 ecoboost. You decide.

Red looks awful, literally the worst color you could get it in.
Nightfall grey looks amazing imo, black and arctic blue look pretty good. Really you should stick to any of the metallic based colors for this one.

How come the auto has a 2.85 rear axle while the manual has a 3.73 which is unavailable on the auto? Is it the way the gearing is on that 10-speed?

Is a new 2SS Camaro worth ~$8k more than a new Premium GT Mustang?
I think the big difference is the Magnetic Ride, but $8k seems like a lot.

I've driven them both, the Camaro even on "track"
I don't necessarily think the Camaro is a bad DD, especially not with the magnetic ride set to touring.
Love the exterior look of the Mustang, but the interior of the new Camaros blows it away. Build quality wise, 2 mechanics I've talked to say they get way more Mustangs with problems, though that could be that there's more of them in their areas. According to Popular Mechanics, the Mustang has much higher maintenance costs through 75k and 150k miles.
Camaro was way more solid and precise, but for that same reason, the Mustang is a more fun drive because it requires more driver input.

Anyway, main thing I'm trying to figure is where that $8k difference goes at the top ends since they're priced pretty across different trims.
Honestly, at this point I've more or less decided on the Camaro over the Mustang, but I'm trying to figure out where that extra money is going.
