If the car is relatively clean already, you really only need car shampoo, a microfiber mitt, two buckets (one for dirty water, one for clean), and minimal interior cleaning stuff depending on your interior

If it's in bad shape, you're looking at dishsoap, claybars, etc.

Humidity might be an issue. At night is when the humidity reaches dewpoint and water will stop the wax from evenly coating the top of your car.

ONR all day every day. For the rare occasions where my car gets like mud on it, I'll use Meguiars. ONR is good shit.
