So I searched the catalog for a VIN check thread and I didn't see one, let's see if we can start one. I need a VIN checked for a 1977 Datsun 280z with 46,000 miles on it, I just want to see if those are really original miles or if it rolled over. Can anybody help some fagg/o/ts out?

vin's before 1980 were a cluster fuck of "I'm doing whatever the fuck I want!" because they weren't standardized yet.

you MAY get lucky, but its a Datsun specific vin and they may not have records of cars <1980

It's really clean as fuck, it doesn't even look like it's been driven more than 80,000 miles. Engine room nd great and everything. The seller is an older lady who said her husband died and it sat under a carport after that. and she was very straightforward and honest so I believe her, I just want to ease my concerns
