While late 60s Kombis might be relatively common (as far as Kombis go), the early split windows, particularly the bus does fetch decent money. Although they usually go for between $35k-$50k. Doubt there's any real value of it being an original condition fleet vehicle though.
Also looks as though it may be a museum piece, so they may well know what they got.
