List every engine you've ever owned.
Only count the ones installed in cars, that seized 305 on a pallet in your back yard doesn't count
I'll start
Ford Modular 4.6 (2x)
Chrysler 2.2 Turbo II
Chevy 454 GEN V TBI
Chrysler 318 LA TBI
Nissan QR25DE
Chevy 350 TBI
Chrysler 5.2 Magnum

It was ok. I don't get the hype.

Mazda BP-ZE x2 (1994 & 1997 Miata)
Strong, reliable, built to take boost well, no mechanical issues besides lifter tick (just need to use the right oil). I just wish it made more HP naturally aspirated. the head just doesn't flow well.

My M3 was a lot of fun, but it was a clapped out piece of shit when I bought it and I sold it because it was too rusty for me to repair the rear subframe mounts.

Pic related.

I don't think I'd own a BMW newer than the E36/E39 era, many of my friends do, and they just aren't that dependable. I'd love to find an E30 325ix, I've replaced the M3 in my sports car lust with perfecting an L61 or LD0 Fiero, but I'd like a good little saloon car for gravel fun.

Not a high priority though, my automotive addiction is square body Chevies.

suzuki 1.6 L L01 I4 in a Geo tracker
-liked to rev and sounded like angry badger

1992 Chrysler 3.3 V6 Iron block (caravan)
-well over 200k and didn't burn a drop of oil and had zero rattles. If I wanted to power a homemade tractor, this would be the engine
horriffic plug change job though. motor was kinda set in place and good luck working on it

1993 Chrysler 2.5 I4
-very reliable and easy to work on but it had like 100 hp and was kind of an appliance engine. not much power for the displacement. definitely a dated engine design

2.2 ecotec
-sounds like a bunch of gravel in a blender
-burns oil at 90k
-rattles bad when cold
pretty much the worse engine ive ever owned. thanks 2006 GM (psst. new GM is still 2006 GM but don't tell the consumers)
>>
golf mk3 - ABU 1,6L 4 cyl 75hp.
alternator went, and to keep it alive i had to drive with high rpm, which killed the tranny and headgasket.

peugeot 405 - XU7 JP 1,8L 4 cyl MPI, cat, 100hp.
headgasket blew, causing a couple engine fires, ultimately the timing belt blew, rekking everything.

currently driving: vw up! CHY 1,0L 3 cyl MPI BMT 60hp

Those three months though.

it is more inline than v. It is a v inline 5.
A kraut can correct me if i'm wrong but germans just string words together to make new words with the each word modfying the word after it.

So the vr6/vr5 is a v inline 5

The Bugatti 16-cylinder in the Veyron (which I assume is the reason for W vs VR confusion) is a two bank VR16 engine. W-engines have three banks. Unsure whether the three banks have to be internally in-line or if it does not matter.

Inadequate oiling and beating the shit out of the engine all the time. Camshaft bearing journals were completely fucked when I took it apart.

The reason it seized is, I think, because it was running extremely rich and therefore contaminated the oil with gas. I think a piece of the engine, probably a valve, made it to the muffler since I could hear something bonking around inside it. Never could get it out.
