car design will return to its origins as horse-drawn carriages

it took people of yonder THOUSANDS OF YEARS to settle on the carrage design and layout that they settled on

it would only make sense for automakers to take a que and fall in line

That design reminds me of this VW T3 bus turned into a pickup but with an intact hatch. Cargo length through the roof.

Also if you do want more cargo carrying capacity you can already attach a trailer, either hitch or fifth wheel, to a pickup. This >>16328715 mockup sucks because as soon as you detach the trailer you have ZERO cargo space left.
