Don't know about working on mid engine, but It's supposed to be a Camry with the engine in the back, so it's not terribly costly to own.

Because it has the same transmission as the Camry. You'll need custom engine mounts and most importantly ECU and wiring. I don't think it's easy, but maybe it is for someone who's done swaps that go beyond just putting it in. Where I live, people just install 3S-GTE.
