previous owner of my car painted the calipers red, the paint is now old and has flakes in spots.
I need to do the pads and rotors soon, is it worth it. is it worth it to paint em back to an aluminum color so I don't look like a douche with red calipers on a 4 door

Stencil brembo on them. Legit as fuark.

Painting them while on the car is kind of a hassle, but, scrub them down and get off as much paint as you can and then degrease them, do not get paint or any cleaner on the pistons because you can damage the rubber seal, then hit them with something like a no primer paint of your color choice.
Personally I'd just use some high temp engine or chassis paint, in black, non-gloss. Chassis matte paint is nice for things you don't want rusting and keeping a nice clean, factory looking appearance.

Give them a quick rub down with wet and dry then slap a few coats of stove/bbq black on them.

Jesus fucking christ. I've now seen it all.

Paint them black. Looks cleaner in my opinion.
