Now, I have a Honda Fit/Jazz, and it's engine is on it's way out. It needs a new one.
It's an odd request, but can anyone recommend an engine that will give me some decent go, but will still fit in the thing's tiny engine bay?

In all seriousness, Honda K20 2.0L. It's a bit of work to get it in, but it DOES fit. With that, You can have anywhere from 160 to 220 HP in a Fit. Even the 160 HP variant should be able to move a Fit around with some gusto.

No. The LSX is a GM small block V8. There's no way in hell it will fit without major changes.
