I work in the IT department of a car garage with six "stores" in Europe.
Have you worked as a car salesman before? If you have, then you know how it works, you work for maximum three years at the same garage and then you move on after making a few mistakes.
If not, enjoy the ride. In the 5 years I've worked here, I've seen more car salesmen pass than I've seen customers.
I don't mean to demotivate you, just make sure you learn all the models, options or packs and you will be fine.

New or used? Have you done this before?
If not, a word to the wise... never calculate your hourly rate. Another pro-tip: ALWAYS wear your least favorite ties when you start out.

It's because they cut your tie in half when you sell your first car.

They cut a salesman's tie in half after their first sale

Lololol
Did you take my advice?
>>16321313
Why don't car salesmen have the power to negotiate on their own accord and go to the manager with every offer? Is it just a stalling tactic for negotiations, or do you really need the manager's approval for every offer?
Speaking as a former fine art consultant, realtor, and property manager. I was always allowed to negotiate without supervision.

Fuck your "advice", I'm not the guy you're talking to. It isn't an inside joke, I've never worked at a dealership and I know that. Just saw you acting like an autist and called you out.
