the miata doesn't have ecoboost and is certainly more reliable. >>
>>16322022
nope, the GT350 and GT350R both have a 5.2 liter V8
the R just lost some weight be removing stuff like AC, stereo, carpet and got more aero stuff

the 350 in the name isn't really related to anything and rumored to be a random number they came up with at a meeting when trying to figure out what to call it back when Mr Shelby was making the first ones, 1 story is it was 350 feet from the offices to the workshop
kinda like the Ford GT40 was named that because when they measured it the car was 40 inches tall
>>
>>16322051
Either your legs fit or they don't. As soon as your legs fit you don't need extra leg room, especially as the driver who needs to comfortably reach the pedals. And most peoples' legs fit in most cars unless you're lanklet mutant.

All other responses in this thread are invalid.

Snek is literally the best car in the world. Per cost, the ACR can do more better than anything else.

It is the one true God Machine and the failure of you faggots and the world at large to acknowledge this fact is why it has forsaken us and transcended from our mortal coil.

>>16320749
There's a number of cars I could pick, so I'll just pick the best in each category over the last 5 years.
Starting with Mid-size family sedans.

The Kia Optima.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E3rW16V_FI

>Hybrid model holds a world record
>SX Turbo model for you performance enthusiasts
>turned around the company's profits, public image, and build quality all in one fell swoop
>Race car versions managed to embarrass Chevy Camaros, Ford Mustangs, Maserati Gran Turismos, Porsche Caymens, and Cadillac CTS-V's on the track and win the Pirelli World Challenge Series GTS class
>Company that built the winning race cars, Kinetic motorsports, offers performance aftermarket parts that you can get through Kia.
>>
>>16322271
Pickemup Trucks

Ram 1500
>class-leading innovations such as a coil spring rear suspension
>available 3.0L Ecodiesel
>most fuel efficient truck
>Just as capable as the Ford F150 and Chevy SIlverado/GMC Sierra twins

Granted it isn't as reliable as the competition and the build quality isn't as high, but it's still the most innovative truck on the market for the moment.
>>
>>16322271
>Kia
and into the trash it goes
>>
>>16322290
Sports Cars. I combined muscle cars with the sports cars to simplify things.
The Zeta chassis Chevrolet Camaro
>best selling performance car in America for 5 straight years
>fantastic chassis
>nothing else it competes with could compete on handling, power or price
>Good looks earned it numerous starring roles in Hollywood, most famously as Bumblebee in the Transformers movies.

The visibility is shit, but it's a very small knock against the car.

>>16322312
Name a better mid-size family sedan.
>>
>>16321733
This desu, LS is my dream car.
>>
>>16322315
>Name a better mid-size family sedan.
Camry is more reliable.
Accord is less cost of ownership.
Mazda 6 is more engaging to drive.
Ford Fusion is cheaper.
And all of those are less painful to the eye.

Super cars. I had a hard time with this one. There's been some fantastic super cars in that 5 year timeframe... and I don't like any of them. Super cars, IMO, are just dick extenders for rich assholes to brag about. So I picked my favorite.

Alfa Romeo 4C
>full carbon fiber chassis
>one of the cheapest supercars you can buy
>Faster than a Lamborghini Diablo while having 1/3 the number of cylinders.
>dat noise, Oh god the noise.
>least likely supercar to be bought for the purposes of a dick-waving contest
>emphasis on lightweight and driving enjoyment assures buyers will be actual enthusiasts
>dem looks
>Dat ass

>>16322337
and none of them are better OVERALL.
>>
>>16322337
most importantly none of those cars are korean
>>
>>16322239
No matter how good the car is, if it doesn't sell then that's that. Look at GTR sales vs C7 Z06, it's not even close.
>>
I'd say a GT86/BRZ

>A throwback to the entry level sports coupe of the 90's
>Handles amazingly, lightweight for modern cars
>Daily-able coupe with plenty of trunk space and rear seats
>Comes with a manual or auto, no expensive unreliable DCT. Doesn't need fancy technology to be a fun daily driver
>RWD and a locking diff, cheaper than the Miata Club and 2x more daily-able
>Subjectively looks nice
>Ample power (6 second 0-60 in manual)
>Good fuel economy for a car of it's class

It's only issue for most people is the lack of power compared to mustangs, but that's not the point of the GT86. It's a fun, affordable, practical car in RWD. What other RWD car can you find for the price of a GT86 with everything thats practical, RWD, and fun?

Or, the Fiesta ST.

>Only comes in manual, only for enthusiasts
>Practical 5 door with plenty of space in the back
>Comes with a turbo for that extra tuneability
>7s 0-60 isn't about the power, its the feel. The torque pulls it along, and you can always put a new tune for more power.
>Extremely lightweight
>Handles like a dream, just tail happy enough to pull it through corners
>Amazing fuel economy

The Fiesta ST is what I like coming back, enthusiast only. It's not for benchracing faggots, it's for sensible people who want fun, but more want more practicality than a miata.

If you want a benchracer sports car, go shell out your shekels to some DCT turbo car, a meme WRX, or a Mustang.

You're a tremendous faggot if you think the Snek doesn't sound good. It's the most raw sound of power on the market. It may not be refined, but neither was a fucking 426.

You're an even more tremendous faggots if you think discontinuation is a sign of how good a car is. They discontinued the 426 because it drank too much Fucking fuel, not because it wasn't the most powerful Big Block on the market.

The Snek has literally held down and raped every super and hyper car before it. It is without goddamn equal.

The 426 was a tempermental bitch. It's why most people who would've bought them ended up buying 440's.

And the other issue is the 426 was nicknamed the elephant motors, both because of their bloated size and because they were commonly beaten by Chevy small blocks which were nicknamed the "Mighty Mouse" engines.

Know your history, do you, Bearenstein? Lemme tell you how things worked in the Bearstein universe.

The 426 was called the Elephant because it was enormous in proportion and power, not because of any competition.

Literally zero engines can compete against even a lightly modified 426 in N/A form. Higher flow heads and a decent Cam (mods which are so common you usually can't find a 426 without them) are all it takes to make it live up to its race brethren's reputation.
