nope. Road Race Motorsports makes a turbo kit for the car that was sold through Suzuki dealers for the SX4.
They made a few concept cars to promote it.

all the parts used to build the concepts were also available at the dealer or at Road Race Motorsports.
The idea was to strike a deal with an aftermarket performance parts company to make performance parts for the car that could be sold at the dealership as add-on accessories that wouldn't void the warranty, similar to what Scion did with TRD.
The overall idea was to use that one company to help establish the SX4 in the American tuner car scene, court the car modders and hopefully boost sales of the car.

It didn't work and Suzuki left the US market after 2013, but Road Race Motorsports still offers all the parts from their Suzuki partnership.

Overall, the SX4 was a promising base for a tuner car. very reliable, well built 2.0L I4 that takes boost well, available in FWD or AWD, an IRS, and they have great chassis dynamics making them as fun to drive as just about any Mazda.

I generally don't feel a particular way about many eras of cars which in my eyes haven't brought forth mentionworthy technological achievements. I'd only get a post 1990 car for daily driving or utility, not collectability, apart from the Tesla. In return there are earlier decades where several cars spark my interest. Luckily I was able to cram three pre-war cars in there because they maintained production during or after the war, but I'd have even more in mind.

They also arr rook same. 3/4 of them are all the same humped wedge. Not even visually interesting. A 900hp AMC I6? That's interesting.
>>
>>16324154
Super cars are amazing, but they literally exist for kids to put posters on their walls and old fucks to take out to C&C once a year and wreck. To the average automotive enthusiast they are completely impractical. You can't even work on most of them, and why would you considering how expensive they are to begin with.

So no, I don't give a fuck about any of those and they don't fit the bill for a dream car.

I know how you feel, although I'm not crazy about most pre-war or 40s cars. I have a thing for huge cars with huge wheels like the Bugatti I posted though. And perhaps I could have picked a '59 Cadillac instead of the 507, but it's so exclusive that if I could have any 50s car I'd probably still pick the 507. I thought about putting the Traction Avant too but again it's too common. The Alfa from the 60s doesn't fully make me crazy about it but again, the other options are relatively common cars. Thinking about it I'd probably rather get a Ferrari Daytona.
Also just found out the 540K was produced until 1940, I'd get a 540K-Autobahnkurier instead of that Alfa.

You're the type of person that goes full nigger when they get some money. You fucking admit it yourself, you like the cars because they're a status symbol for your poor ass, not because of the characteristics of the vehicle.
>>
>>16324154
I dig you fox posting man.

Most peeps cannot imagine owning a Ferrari and driving it like a regular car. Scarcity mindset.

It's weird how somewhere along the line, people stop believing in themselves and their dreams/goals.

I find it hard to even convince some of my friends to just open their mind to the possibility of having certain good things in life.

No wonder few peeps succeed in life. They stop thinking its possible.

I went trough some similar thought process too.

Those same guys are those inflating the prices of old ae86 and E30's. When enough of them want the old cars, they make them valuable again hahaha. Causing the same thing they ran away from.

Also
>the dick waving contest that supercars are and are perfectly fine with the sizes of our dicks
Seems like you feel insecure and would be worried about people saying you're "compensating". Saying that if you get nice things you're compensating is typical of insecure jealous pussy whipped little shits, who not only feel inadequate but also can't afford awesome cars and end up settling for a shitty Prius. They look at a muscle car, a lifted truck, a full size car, a supercar or some nice guns and say the owner is "compensating". Bullshit, that's what they tell themselves to feel better about their own situation. The typical questions they ask?
>why do you need such a big truck
>why do you need so much horsepower
>why do you need so many guns
>why do you need such a flashy car

I ride the bus for now (in college in the third world) but let me assure you I won't be caught dead talking shit of someone because he has a nice ride. You will likely see me lashing out at the morons who do stupid shit like stancing, tire stretching, hanging plastic balls from a truck or ricing though.

>>16324274
>you like the cars because they're a status symbol for your poor ass, not because of the characteristics of the vehicle.
You misinterpreted my words. The reason I desire the more exclusive cars is because of their rarity, because if I could have any wish granted I wouldn't waste it in something I can obtain by my own means, I'd get something I could normally not get and that I lust for with intensity. A Duesenberg is probably more expensive and exclusive than any of the ones I picked, but I don't find it cool. I'd rather have a Countach.

>You misinterpreted my words. The reason I desire the more exclusive cars is because of their rarity
would you believe there are rarer and more exclusive cars you can by cheap?
Example: The Lancia Scorpion. 1,807 were built in total. For 2 model year. It's even got that italian mid-engined exotic thing going on.
You can pick them up for under 10k mint.

And Jeremy Clarkson once pointed out the Aston Martin DB9 sold more than the Ford Mondeo ST220.
>>
>>16324320
The only projection I see is from the ones who see anyone with better stuff than them and say "he must have a small dick and is compensating for it". News flash, a nice car won't make your dick grow. However I'd rather have a nice car than a shitbox.
>>16324326
It's not just a matter of budget, I find them incredibly sexy. I'd rather have an E30 than a brand new 3 series. To me, BMW lost a big deal of its personality and aggressiveness when it switched from the boxy style with separated round headlights style to the more modern one. My favorite bimmers are E34s and E30s. I also dig the E31 and E38 though.
I have similar feelings about Benz, loved them until the W201, W124 and W140, although I've started seeing awesome Benzes in the last years. Wouldn't be caught dead in a W210 or W211.
>>16324343
Looked it up, didn't like it. And the Mondeo ST is still a Mondeo, it isn't comparable.
I'd rather have a Delorean even if it's cheaper and less exclusive. Or a 1984 Trans Am.
My point is, of my dream cars, for this "one car per decade thing" I pick the most exclusive of them. I love the Trans Am with a passion, but I know I will be able to get it by myself with relative ease. However, the Testarossa is much harder. Still obtainable (I'll be an engineer soon) but harder. Besides, that V12. Remember we're talking about having ANY car from each era. I love the Jalpa and the 930 for example, but I wouldn't rather have them than a Testarossa.

I was thinking the same, I grew up dreaming about E30 and E34. I was the guy talking BMW went to shit after e46.

But now Im older, E30 is overmeemed to death, and basically any older BMW is raped by teens.

BMW started making handsome cars again, and when I opened myself to the idea I found it Id rather own a newer than older one.

Id lie if I'd say some shitboxes dont carry a certain appeal tho.

I'm even more extreme lol, I think it went to shit after the E36.
About the new ones, it's true they're looking better, but still not as good as they used to. If I were to get a brand new premium car I'd rather have a Giulia (admittedly a 3 series ripoff, but prettier) than a 3 series.
>>16324398
How so? I ride the bus. The only thing triggering me here is the smug sanctimoniousness. Seems like the liberals' world revolves around their dicks since that's all they can think about.
I have a lot of stuff I'd like to spend money in, but a cock enlargement isn't one of them.
I'd probably get a Rosso Corsa Testarossa, a Skarab 38KV, a Bell 47 and a nice house by the beach with an helipad on top.

You would probably equate a gaudy gold Rolex with status because you think it has an air of exclusivity while the rest of us think you look like a nigger that just cashed the check from his first single.

As I said earlier, a Duesenberg may be rarer and more expensive than any of the ones I picked, but it does nothing for me. It's just that picking something that I can easily get IRL seems like a waste to me. Imagine you rub an oilcan and the car genius offers to grant you one car from each decade. Explain what a "blank Porsche chassis" means then, because all I see is that they retain most of the stuff from the original and improve it. The only examples with bespoke engines, for example, were prototypes.

You know what? I informed myself on modern RUFs. I stand by my words that the CTR was just a modified Porsche, but the CTR3 is more than just that. And I dig it. Incredibly sexy, BTW. Take that from a guy that doesn't go crazy about watercooled Porsches except for the Carrera GT.

I find it Rolls Royceish, ahead of them as I said. Maybe I should have said the new Rolls and Bentleys are Lanciaish actually, since in 2001 they were making embarrassing old looking trash. Their fronts are still embarrassing nowadays though. I get that they made classy stuff back in the day, but they've fallen into noveau-riche levels of classlessness. They still have the luxury, but they come across as flashy and tacky.

At least I'm not the only one.
For me the 964 is the last air cooled 911 and the 996 might be just the last 911. 991's are nice GT cars but I'm not into them as much.

Well, pretty sure that SUVs are classified as light trucks everywhere
>Have you ever driven one?
Sadly not
>It's not even the best soviet offroader
But it's an offroader I can get in good condition unlike the UAZ 469 which I can only get badly beat up from the army. Also I'd buy a post-soviet version if I was going to buy one. Can't afford any right now as I'm in college and without a job.
>>

Scrap it, I guess. Anyways Nivas are always half broken, never broken down :^)
>>
>>16341538
You'd be scraping one every year? You'd be fucked with a car like that if you don't know how to work on it. I live in one of the most developed post soviet countries next to Russia and I can't remember the last time I saw a Å…iva. It might be because they aren't reliable cars and people also appreciate comfort. ..like a properly working heater in winter time. It's the same Lada with some ground clearance.
>>
>>16341581
>live in one of the most developed post soviet countries next to Russia
Slovakia?
Also the only complaints I've heard about them are harsh ride, road noise and bad mileage. And you can see a lot of them doing just nice around here. We used to assemble them in the early 2000s (as Bognor Diva).

>>
>>16341949
no. She was a 1957. All the movie cars were 57's.
King din't know what he was doing with Christine. The book was originally supposed to be a time travel book where she would transport the drive and passengers back in time as her odometer rolled backwords. He also started writing Christine in the middle, originally envisioning her as a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. clues she was supposed to be a Bel Air are in the book.
In the book, she had :
4 doors (not available on Fury's until 1959)
a hydramatic transmission (GM's automatic transmission. Chrysler's was called Torqueflyte.
A gear shifter lever (automatic Chrysler products of the time had push button transmissions)
was red with a white top (while this color combo was available on the Bel Air, it was not available on the Fury, which was only available in Buckskin Beige with gold trim. This is referenced in the very first scene of the movie, though the book states she was a special order car so that may be explainable.

The switch to a Fury was a last minute change because the car's name suited the story better. Because of all this, I prefer the movie to the book because it's more accurate, even if the book was gorier.

BTW, that's not a replica. That picture is an actual movie car. Stunt car number 3, the car that chased down Moochie Welch, and was the only movie car equipped with a 3 speed manual "3 on the tree" style transmission. It's also one of only 2 or 3 cars to survive the movie's filming out of a total of 24 cars
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYDfCYt-oLA

>>16342493
The movie used both 1957 and 1958 model Plymouth Belvedere's and Savoy's since they couldn't get ahold of actual Fury's, then dressed up all the cars to look like 1957 models.
