I saw a biker, way back in my rear view mirror, coming down a road. He was doing maybe 20 over. As I went over the crest of the hill I came to a stop. I don't know why I did it. He came over, went into the back of me doing about 100 and flew over my car and down the road. I got out and he was obviously dead.

Called the ambulance and police. They cleaned it up and didn't suspect a thing. I told them I was going slow but not that slow, he obviously hadn't seen me as he came round the corner and over the crest.

Judging speed is a very basic skill. How else do you go the speed limit without your eyes glued to your dash? But judging the speed of small, hard to see objects is more difficult than judging the speed of a car.

Your method of avoiding break check lights can still get recorded. More and more motorbikes have dashcams and helmetcams as normal DD gear.
