Stancing however, does. Your reduced and almost nonexistent contact patch makes the car dangerous on the road. It won't handle properly in emergency maneuvers or even when just changing lanes or going over a bump. And the fad of stretching tires to get wider wheels on is even more dangerous since you're driving on the sidewall, which isn't designed to deal with that kind of stress.

It completely ruins the cars ability to be a car by making it dangerous to drive.

Let me say what everyone else can't seem to:

Once cars are out of production, they are a limited commodity. There will never be another fleet of SW20 Turbos built, nor 2100-lb Civics, nor S14s. As time goes by more get scrapped, parted-out, or wrecked. These cars were lightweight, often found with manual transmissions, easy to work on, and didn't have a ton of "driver aids" aka they didn't hit the brakes if you took a corner quickly (the US mandated ABS, Traction Control, and the horrific Electronic Stability Control [ they're actually all in one device, I used to work quality engineering in a plant that made these hydraulic units ] on all cars past 2012, and in the EU past 2014).

I may never get to have a clean EG/EH Civic hatch, Starion Turbo, or Eclipse GSX because they've all been crashed, scrapped or destroyed. I have some empathy for the people who boosted the shit out of them 'til they died, I really do - but people who overcamber and slam cars then destroy their frames and engines just for looks really grinds my metaphoric gears.

I mean, the TL or TSX in OP's pic doesn't bother me - it's the high-tier tuner cars from pre-2008 or so.

Rebuilding and turbocharging an IS300 will raise the value of the car. 500 hp builds will sell for ~$7.5 k or so (at least) while a stock car will probably sit for $6k at most.
And it's made the car more enjoyable while not actually being worse at being a car. It hasn't compromised the handling inordinately, nor has it destroyed the car's structural integrity; both of which are things stancefags do.
