What are the benefits of a dedicated gps over a phone gps?

Technically, i think that dedicated GPS get better software.


On the other hand, i find the idea of having in your hand a GPS being bullshit. Dedicated GPS just look so much more fucking comfy to use.

I've tried both and it seems like the dedicated are better in terms of accuracy, accounting for traffic conditions, showing you images of your exit if you need it, not killing your phone battery, larger screens, more options, and they don't seem to lose signal as often as phones do.

I can make a call and have navigation telling me where to go in the background or I can use navigation and take a call in the background. Do you have a early 2000's flip phone or something, can you not multitask?

You don't need a dedicated GPS within city limits, your phone does a much better job.
