The four white customers tipped but the one black one didn't. 28 bucks in one drive.

You should wear a shirt to work that seems supportive of minorities but really isn't.

Personally I think you should wear a shirt while you're working that says, "Let's end stereotypes."

maybe the blax will tip
>>
>>16294820
Based on my experiences just about every customer has decided whether or not they want to tip before I even knock on the door. Pretty much nothing I can do in the short time I see them face to face. Oddly enough though my biggest tip ever was this month from a black guy. 24 bucks.

nice, i have only watched a bit of Initial D but I thought about putting a Night Kids sticker on my Miata.
>>
>>16295579
The sticker is appropriate for his car. If you watch a little more of Initial D one of the characters drives on EG6

Also got done with my Rear disc conversion. breaks feel a lot better, though I did find out the pin that holds the Brake Master cylinder to the actually brake arm isn't there. Also the parking brake cables were to long. Going to the junkyard for the Del Sol cables, and possibly both rear calipers, just in case the ones I have are a tad bit different.

Yeah the lack of windows makes it hard to figure out where stickers should go. Maybe the B pillar? It's not a window but that's the only place I could think of.

Never been to a Hungry Howie's before. I don't even think they exist in my area.

Did you make sure to swap the prop valve? Switching from drums to discs and not swapping prop valve is terrible idea.

Blog update:
Put in the cluster and facade, took apart the climate control unit and repaired where it had broken with plastic weld. (I just used my soldering iron and zip ties as filler) Also swapped some bits and pieces since it's an 86/87 climate control and the body harness is a 1985. Also installed the glove box and did some minor electrical. Looks bretty good

first of all I dont drive a Honda, i would literally rather fuck a dude.

Second of all, they don't exist. People that drive Honda civics think they're in a Ferrari and try to race everyone.

Listen, I was driving my Mach 1 from my duty Station in Texas to my home in New Hampshire. Somewhere in CT, a Honda civic driver in a riced ass shitbox tried to race me. I didn't care, I was tired, and I didn't want to get pulled over.

As I go the speed limit he pulls up within an inch of me, revs his 1.8 L engine like its a V10, does a dangerous maneuver, laughs at me and goes like 120MPH.

He goes way up ahead.

In 10 minutes or so there is a traffic jam up ahead, I wonder what the commotion is because I didn't hear it on the radio.

Then I saw his body, and his car. Or what was left of it. His ricebox may have had 1000000 horsepower but it didn't matter because it got flattened by an 18 wheeler.

You Honda guys are literal retards, and that is coming from a guy who literally drives a Mustang.
>>
>>16303018

xD you know I drive a Mustang and I accept all the things that come with it. The things people say, etc.

But I have never seen any worse drivers than people with riced civics. Especially the "tuner"fags who lower their shit to like half an inch in NE and then go across speed bumps sideways.

Like honestly I drive like a sane human being, but Honda drivers don't. It's like they are on a mission to prove that they are cool too because they have sports cars too when really they are too poor to afford an actual sports car.

This does not include Acura people
>>
>>16303098
I am not as dumb as you think I am.

I have many valid reasons to hate honda civics. People that drive them are idiots. Like the other day I had an argument with this scrub because he was saying that it was a viable and practical thing to lower your Civic to .25 inches in NY.

When I asked him what he would when the snow comes, he said that he has a friend who does it and it works perfectly fine.

In reality he would rip his bumper cover off.

Honda people know nothing about cars. The only Honda cars I respect are the Acura sedans and the NSX.

>>
>>16305097
It wasn't making any sort of noise, just running like shit. Really only cylinder 3 (the one with just one intake rocker on it in the photo) was running kinda ok. Cylinder 2 didn't have any of the rocker arms pop off and wasn't really firing at all. 1 and 4 weren't running at all and had both rocker arms off.

I think I'm just gonna pop them back on, set the lash and hope the valves didn't bend. The timing belt looks basically new but I think I should also make sure it didn't skip a tooth or something.
>>
>>16305180
Always measure the timing chain, looks can be deceiving.

But yeah, check the timing marks. Failure to do so could result in breaking your foot because you kicked something in a fit of rage.

Yeah just a little extra money to have it painted black instead of chrome. Fit the car's style better since there's no chrome anywhere on the car.

LCAs are Godspeeds I traded my chrome hood prop for. Pretty much just something to get rid of the shot ones that were there before. They need new bushings where the shocks mount to them, though. No idea where to find replacements so I'll probably order red Blox ones since I have their upper control arms front and rear. Subframe brace is just some OEM one I think. Got it from my friend that was chopping up a parts car.

I've been thinking about upgrading my entire suspension system. My car has the most shit suspension ever, with a blown RR shock that creaks loud af. I've read somewhere that stock lca's aren't actually bad, just that the bushings go out, and make the ride a tadd shitty-er. A friend of mine has suggested to upgrade to D2 shocks/struts/ whatever they are. What are your thoughts?

Sup guys I have a snow driving question for you guys.

If you're going through a portion of snow build up that's about 10 feet long, and about a foot high, is it better to stop and go slow so you don't damage your front lip/bumper or go with some speed to keep momentum? Which one is safer for the car? (I.e. oil pan, brake lines, etc)

NSX brakes are expensive for what they are.

Type II Legend Calipers are actually a little bigger, can be found very often in yards, due to the legends headgasket issue. The only down side is the Type II calipers are iron, and the NSX's are aluminum, and the legends have to be bled off the car, because it's bleeder valve is on the bottom, as Legend calipers were originally trailing, not leading edge.

I run 99 Acura RL Rotors, 99 Acura RL Caliper brackets and the Type II Calipers(Upside down) , and stainless steel lines. It's a great set up.
The next upgrade would be the Fat Four Customs caliper bracket for the double sides caliper off the 07(?) RL.

I'm fairly certain, with all 90s Honda, as long as you use matching caliper Brackets, and rotors, you can use whatever caliper you want with no consequences.
>>
>>16315096

>>
>>16315116
On a EG I couldn't see needing anything more than that.

I need do a conversion on my EK, like the one I did on my Accord. The amount of fade I get after a few hard brakes is annoying. I think I'm gonna sell it before that happens tho.
>>
>>16315127

What spring rates would you recommend?

>Rainy Rough Weather (Seattle, WA)
>Occasionally have passengers in the back (needs to be wife and small child approved)
>not looking for a serious drop in height, maybe a 2-3 finger gap at the most?

I've attached a photo with the current monstrous height with 13" wheels.

Eventually I would like a K swap, but with the same intended purposes. So a suspension set up with spring rates that work for the car in this stage as well as the eventual K- stage would be ideal.

I would like the car to have understeer at the limit, but I would also like my line to be corrected by easing off the throttle.

It's not too bad really. My average income from tips and mileage is $321 a week so far and that's much better than the $200 from my weekly check at my old retail job that paid minimum wage.

>>16319406
I went to the dealer but if I got it again I'd order from Hondapartsnow.com they only wanted $30 for both parts but I paid 45 at the dealer. If your shifter has any up and down play at all that should fix it.

As much as I'd love a CRX it wouldn't be a good choice for a pizza delivery daily anymore. Would love that or a 3rd gen lewd as a second car, though.

Went and picked up a new exhaust manifold gasket for my car. The one I installed when we did the head gasket I accidentally bent a bit so the new exhaust setup is leaking right where it bent.

>>16321519
Is there a fuse on the replacement unit? I know they usually have one on the back somewhere.
>>
>>16321519
It's possible you have the wires switched around dawg.

Yellow/red power on ignition 12v and white/blue is memory. Easy to fuck up

Also, make sure your radio fuse is good (if your head unit has an integrated fuse)

lastly check ground from head unit to chassis.

If you checked all the above you should find your issue quickly. (or discover that your head unit is bad)

EW motors are notorious for being the only honda engines that blow HG on the regular. I blew one up on just a cold start one time.

For winter driving, just get good and you'll be fine. If light and FWD were as shit as everyone says then they wouldnt have light FWD rally cars.

The most important thing you can do is to select appropriate tires

I've never ever driven in snow so I'd most likely fuck up. I'm still on summer tires because south. Though that one time in early 2014 we had some crazy ass freeze.

>roads literally frozen, not equipped to handle it
>don't even have my Honda yet, driving a Chevy Venture with bald tires
>my job is in neighboring town to the north, all interstate
>no heater
>watch as my windshield freezes over as I drive
>see people in the ditch every day
>keep wheel straight as fuck and make no sudden movements
>no problems

I have never been colder in my whole life. Yeah it's only low 30s but that's rare as fuck here and crazy for someone who has never left this part of the country. kek

The bridge I had to cross one night was actually closed down and I had to take a long ass way around to the exit before it because I couldn't get back on I-10. Was like three guys shoveling all the snow off and covering it in sand in a futile attempt to stop it from piling back up.

I thought I was gonna die in that low 30F weather. I'd most likely cry in -2. It'd be a disaster zone if we got a real winter here. Nobody knows what to do. I'm not even sure if I'd know how to handle it on a day of work.

>>
>>16322194

"Kits online run me $50"
How do you plan on getting the crank pulley off?
Do you have a torque wrench?
Do you understand that if you getting the timing wrong you will grenade the motor?

Sure everyone needs to learn sometime, but it's likely that someone that wants to deliver pizzas or someone that doesnt have tools isnt going to be replacing headgaskets by themselves.

How are you going to get it home if you grenade it in someones driveway or at your work etc?

It's just not a good car to use as DD/delivery vehicle unless you have no money invested and dont care if it blows

Also no idea what army waffles are supposed to be but in the real world they're called thermals/long underwear

Also sand doesn't lower the freezing point of ice the same way that salt does. (and consider salt isnt that serious of a problem to cars anymore)

post pic of underside of car from behind the drivers side tire pointed towards the engine and from behind the car looking up from behind the rear axle. Ill let you know if you need to worry or not
>>
>>16322194
>>16322211
Like what naan said, I've been using army surplus waffle pants and longsleeves and ive been cozy af. it goes like this;
underwear, waffle pants, tank top and t shirt tucked into waffle, socks overlap onto waffle, waffle shirt, cargos, fleece sweater.
Remember you'll need a wind proof jacket because wind slices through fleece. Wind is the enemy, make sure you cut off any points of entry. Trust me, i am syrup.
>>
>>16322234
I was lucky when mine blew that I could still drive it. It was only blown to the point that exhaust gases were pushing my coolant out into the overflow bottle. As long as I poured it back in every day it would keep going no problem. It gave me time to get everything ready to change the gasket, timing belt, and water pump. Even luckier that my uncle offered to do it for me.
>>
>>16322245
>wind

Fuck the wind man. I live just a few miles from Lake Pontchartrain (which can be considered a small sea) and the wind from that is always blowing at my place. Doing any car shit outside here is a huge pain. Also makes my face hurt in cold weather.
>>
>>16322246
Yeah but to be fair the d16y7 doesnt typically blow HG. The EW's tend to absolutely grenade and wont start
>>
>>16322211
Naw, you'd get used to it. It does kinda suck if you don't have good gloves because it's hard as fuck to drive with cold hands.

But really tho, look into those waffles.
>>16322230
Not too bad anon. As long as you take major roads and drive a heavy car with snow tires you'll be good, since there will be no snow in those areas. Worst worry I had to deal with was heavy wind.
>>16322234

>where the fuck my coolant go
>fill it
>good for several months
>happens again
>fill it back up
>thermostat fails in the middle of work
>fight with it to finish the shift and change it
>rip head gasket

It's a D16A but close enough. The D16Y7 was the engine in my first 93 auto Civic that I sold.

>>16322264
