So tell me about this little thing. Is is a decent ride?
aloominum golf coupe
Rides nice & comfy for such a small car. Pretty quick with the DCT in sprints. Not terribly sporty or inspiring driver. Nice interior. Good fuel economy if you take it easy.
It's not a sports car. It's a small GT. Nice for DD, not so nice for the track.
t. drove roadster for 4 years

Golf with half the practicality and double the running costs because 4 rings
This car is somehow even gayer then the Miata

Why?
>>16287306
Because like the Miata it looks cute and feminine.
However, unlike the Miata, it has nothing to offer beyond said looks. It's a Golf underneath, which means it's a soulless FWD econobox instead of a perfectly balanced sporty roadster.
I seriously wanted one after sitting in a new generation and messing with this virtual cockpit instrument cluster.
Then I found out VW's going to make the virtual cockpit an option on the Golf, do there's no point spending extra cash for the Audi label.
Then, I realized that everyone here has nightmare stories about VAG reliability and maintenance costs in general and now I'm thinking I'll stick with my Hyundai for now.

Does anyone service the DSG yet? When I had mine they swapped them out when they broke. $9000 for one back then, assuming the dual mass flywheel didn't grenade as well.
Then you have to spend $1000 every 4 years to have the heads de-coked on the 2.0T.

You lease/finance one new then you trade it in as soon as warranty is over.
everyone knows that

Do a test drive. This is nota golf LOL
Be sure to buy a quattro
>>16288760
But realize the Haldex quattro is basically a FWD unit until the fronts begin spinning, then the clutch engages and sends power to the rear. Even the new ones are still basically FWD most of the time. It's a weird feeling to feel the front slipping / plowing and then -thunk- a shove comes from the rear.

pretty much every new car will have them in 5 years
