When you tune them above 550-650bhp the reliability problems start popping up.

The engine itself is a tank. It can hold more boost stock than an STI.

That's why you see a shit ton of evo builds with 650+bhp and you don't really see an STI build for those sorts of things because the engine might be a tank, but as soon as you start tuning it above 450 the cat itself becomes more unreliable than a 900bhp evo.
