I reckon it's quite reasonable given its mileage and that you know the previous owner well enough. If it were an STi it'd be an absolute bargain.

Also I'd recommend practical manual with a mate a few times first. Just enough for you to be comfortable. You'll get proficient quick enough in the WRX once you've got that foundation.

Also, S13 front struts are a bolt on, but I can't remember what the DIY solution is for the rear though. It's a Borg Warner BTW35 rear end, same as any '90s 6 cylinder Falcodoor, so LSDs and even spools are easy to come by. And you'd probably want to a 5 stud hub conversion, but again, I can't remember the exact componentry for the that.

Just remembered. Part of the bolt in S13 strut was to gain a 5 stud hub (obviously an S13 hub). The rear was either fitted with Falcon axles, or the factory rear hubs were welded and drilled out to the Ford Falcon pattern (shared with Nissan). Get the Aurion. Awesome motor, quite powerful with fuel economy comparable to most 4 cylinders. Also one of the most comfortable cars around. Slightly more reliable than the 380. Avoid the Cruze. It's a GM/Daewoo hybrid.
