I have a car. Bought a used one with 95000 nikes on it. That was in august. Now it's December and I only added like 1800 miles to it.
I just got so sick of taking the bus everywhere though. But having this car has made me realize how few places I have to go. Despite being so free, I have no where to go still.
Was getting this car a waste? I just don't feel that pull to go some place.
I was on vacation last week. My car stayed in the same lot for 7 days.
Is this what having a car is supposed to be like?

No it isn't. I feel sorry for you

I try to look on the bright side. I use to have to get up at 5:45am to catch a bus for like 7am to get to work 8:30am.
Now I wake up at like 7 and drive to work.
But I am sad because I pretty much only go to work...

Just be glad that you didn't do that with a brand new car. Not only did you not break in the car during its initial warranty phase to see if anything would break down early or not, you would also have eaten all the new car depreciation.

What was I supposed to do? Taking the bus was depressing the shit outta me.

I was in the same-ish situation.
Just go out for an aimless spin every now and then.
Not regretting anything since a 25 min drive to work blasting the music of my choice with working AC and a fragrant meme tree sure beats an nearly two hours of shitty bumpy bus riding.
Thinking of getting a beater manual or a baiku for weekend shenanigans.
