if i took care of my car how long can i expect it to last?
i have a 2013 honda fit and its got about 53k on it right now. if i did everything possible to keep it in the best condition, how many miles can i pack onto it before i run into problems?
and when i did run into problems, whats the first thing that im probably going to notice falling apart?

cars are infinitely rebuildable excluding accidents. it will last as long as you keep fixing it

alright
when can i expect more expensive parts of my car to start failing. like the engine, or the transmission. or the wiper blades

If you keep the oil and coolant changed and the transmission fluid changed they'll last forever. But even if those failed you should fix it because it's cheaper than a down payment on a new appliance.
There is no way to know.
I feel like this may be your first time on /o/.

>2013 honda fit and its got about 53k
I've seen a few 2008 fits with over 200k miles. Those cars are built to last my friend. I'm thinking of getting a 2015 fit when I sell my car

aren't certain model cars cheaper to take care of than others?
i mean if car a. has a maintenance of 1k/time and car b. has a maintenance of 1.5k/time. wouldn't it make sense to have car a.? if someone owned car b. should they keep it "forever" just cause its cheaper to repair? it seems that at some point itd be smarter to make the trade if youre looking at it from a "just keep fixing it forever" perspective
