Anybody here ever built a wiring harness for a car? Friend and I plan on building a wiring harness to put a silvertop 20V 4AGE into a FX16 (AE82) shell.
Any tips you can give? Resources? General guides
The harness that's on the engine now is kind of incomplete. I think we might need to build an engine harness. We have all of the connectors at least as well as the ecu. The body harness on the chassis is complete however.
solder and heatshrink is your friend
Bump
If anybody knows of a general overview of the process that would be cool

Godspeed, anon.
I can't help you, but I would like you to know that you are living my dream.

You just watched RCR? Great, now AE82 prices will start to skyrocket.

I don't even know what RCR is man

Look for updates, I'll probably make posts in the Toyota general
AE82 lover checking in, these things were the THING back in the late 90's, early 00's in Australia. It's a shame they're all thrashed like most entry level fun cars. Definently a future classic of sorts.

I haven't watched that garbage since the miata meme video

The chassis lined up is actually pretty clean, i don't have a pic on me unfortunately. It's white, sitting on eBay coilovers with some sort of catback. $500
>>16275927
$500 with the silvertop or with the original drivetrain?
>>16275929
$500 for just the shell iirc. Maybe less than that, $400 or something. I think it has good tires too and maybe some wheels. I only saw it once and it was a while ago lol. But ya no motor in there yet
Why aren't these as popular as the AE86's, granted they're obviously different but do have many similarties.

Dagumi never drove a ae82

you should start looking for maintenance guide for cars that have this engine they usually have a pretty detailed wiring diagramm

Yeah that's the next step it seems like. I have the wiring for the engine, just need to find a diagram for the chassis
Gonna check some databases tomorrow, our school has a subscription to alldata and Mitchell which is nice.
