In previous threads it was phophesized that insurance companies look at your Carfax. After four hours on the phone, this is "supposedly" not true.

However I am telling you, that whore Flo, and Progressive charge you $60+ dollars less your first month then fuck you after to lull you in.

Burn in hell bitch. Burn. And yes, I saved $420/yr by switching to Geico. No way that can jew me that much with an intro rate.

for how much are you insure ? i mean what's the maximum money your insurance will pay to the other dude if you have a responsable incident ?
>>
Fuck, I meant $60 every six months. They give a "new" member discount they don't tell you about.

>>16263161
I have insane coverage. 100k/300k in my car and the 'victim', 100k property damage, $500 deductible collision/comp.

Pretty much max less personal injury (I have health insurance) and no rental reimbursement.

All I'm saying is don't trust Progressive quotes, the service advisor told me they jack up the rates for everyone $60 after 6 mo (paid in full). I'm sure Geico is the same but its still far cheaper.

Fuck u Flo.

FWIW Progressive (when I was negotiating) asked me why I have so much property damage coverage. I said I don't want to total a $100k Tesla P85D and get sued.

Maybe on the low end they are good, but if you're looking for better coverage fuck em. This post is just to inform anons that Progressive discounts you 6mo rate $60+ AND DON'T TELL YOU.

So add $60 on to what they say, as when you get your first renewal, you won't be in a shock.

Also fuck you chink moot.

Late 20s, clean record, own 1/2 cars outright. One ticket in my whole life a decade ago.

I'm just shocked that the Progressive sales rep
admitted they discount new members $60 the first six months then jack up the rate without telling them.

My PEMCO insurance agent says they look at other car info sources to cross check data on insured cars. So whoever told you insurance doesn't look at database info sellers is wrong.

Those numbers were the same in the 1990's too. 100K/300K. But nowadays, that is not insane level. There are too many expensive cars on the road due to COLA and inflation so that 100K/300K is now in line with a 3 car collision where you hit a car hard and shove it into another car or out into the intersection where a chain collision happens and you get sued for all those collisions.

It's why my "full" coverage has boosted amounts for damage to other cars. It didn't cost way too much more, so that's why I boosted the amount of coverage.

If you hit a porsche or tesla you'll need the higher insurance. The chance is essentially zero, but if you hit some celeb like taylor swift, they can charge you for lost income compensation for their entire injury recovery period and that would be pretty huge amount of money. Thankfully, no porsche or tesla in my area (it's ironically good to be poor?).

I'd rather have Erin Esurance than that Flo. But Flo probably fed Erin to the sharks.

I will call my State Farm agent on monday and ask if they get info from other sources. I am sure he will say yes about dealer maintenance records and state emissions tests. In fact, that was mentioned elsewhere in the past so State Farm already was using those records.

There's no law that says State Farm cannot subscribe to CarFax. It's impossible for State Farm to not know of the existence of CarFax.
