Does the LR3 make a good used car?
"Like any LR you need to find one that was actually taken care of. Most people who buy one for its name can't afford a new one in the first place. So do you think they're really going to spend money on repairs and preventive maintenance? Not likely! Look out for that one-owner vehicle, even if you have to contact dealers to get leads. Most dealers don't want to touch an older LR anyway (an 06 is 10 years old now!) so they may flip one to you that hasn't been abused and has been taken care of"

no.
Air suspension, british engineering, poor off-road ability, and high maintenance costs are a recipe for disaster

>poor off-road ability
I will give you the other, but really? They are pretty good in standard form assuming everything works

Yeah but are they a pain in the ass to work on?
Nobody here owns one, or actually can provide some direct experience of owning one?

>poor off-road ability
LR3 has excellent off-road ability.
The problem is that 1. stock tires are asphalt-only and 2. you HAVE to wash the air suspension and dry the interior after getting into mud. So most owners don't bother.
